Ed's Up!
Airing: Weekdays at 5:30am ET/ 2:30am PT
Ed Robertson, from the Barenaked Ladies, is back for some more aches, early morning starts and crap coffee – what the rest of us call the daily grind. Each episode begins with Ed receiving a new set of flying coordinates. Each new destination for Ed means a new boss and a difficult job for the pop singer to endure.
Since Ed logged enough flight hours and survived enough tough jobs in the first two seasons, the producers felt it was time to push the envelope even further. In this third exciting season, the jobs are bigger, tougher, some grosser and much further away.
Ed logs over 10,000 miles in his plane this season. His travels take him across North America, over the Rocky Mountains and even as far away as Ireland and the Caribbean. Ed’s Up Season 3 has Ed joining a sailing crew crossing the Irish Channel and being afield at a Jamaican coffee plantation. He strains his back loading luggage into a Hong Kong-bound 777 and even works underwater as a marine biologist. As always, Ed is up for every challenge sent his way, but does he have what it takes to clean up after a body has decomposed, or train with a group of journalists as they prepare to head off into the most dangerous environments on the planet? Watch and see.
Ed’s Up is less a TV show, and more a hard day’s work. It’s what a select few roughed souls call “working 9 to 5", but for Ed every new job is an adventure and a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
We think he’s starting to like this!
